Technology

Midwest Technical Inspections continues to develop and deploy new technologies to enhance our inspection products and increase the overall efficiency of our systems. These technologies streamline the survey process and facilitate your company’s needs while enhancing your bottom line. Implementing the automated inspection process has shown the progressive nature and capabilities of what we have developed. We have also developed a comprehensive Data Mining product called PATH. This enables the user to access thousands of data points across millions of records collected throughout our service history.

Training

Midwest Technical Inspections has received accreditation from Northern Illinois University and many of our training classes can provide CEUs (Continuing Education Units) towards on-going education. We continuously develop training classes and provide a wide range of services, including Commercial and Personal Lines training.

We offer virtual training, in-person training at our office and/or customer locations, and field training where your inspectors or underwriters team with our trainer to complete field services. With all of our training programs, we include our
Safety Net 800 service.

We also serve as guest speakers / trainers at several national conferences and industry forums. Whether it is one of our standard presentations or a customized training session, these programs provide a value-added service for our clients.

New Product Lines & Services

wind damage prone regions Midwest Technical Inspections has emerged as a leader in developing specialty inspection forms to better assist our clients in the ever-changing insurance marketplace. MTI has created and developed several new product lines in recent years.
  • The change in the economy and the state of the housing market led MTI to develop a Vacant Property Report to assist the insurance industry in verifying vacancy rates on their existing book of business.
  • In response to increased claims activity in the Southeast, we have enhanced our wind mitigation program to better serve our Risk Control clients in this area.
  • To help meet the requirements of our Hospitality / Nightclub writers and their need to know what operations take place during the peak hours, we have created a Unannounced / Night-Time Inspection program. This program allows our inspection staff the ability to see the business operations as they actually happen rather than just what was reported as company procedure. Such items include: unreported sponsorship events, unsafe forms of entertainment and the overall patron demographic. The visit also allows us to confirm specific business protocols such as age verification and restrictions, security standards, as well as the alcohol awareness practices of the serving staff.
